Educational licenses are granted to schools through yearly or multi-year subscriptions. An educational license gives all teachers and students in a school the following rights:
Resources downloaded by the teacher are managed in an application called eBox, which is installed on the user's computer. eBox allows the full-screen display of downloaded resources without an Internet connection. Simulations and videos can be exported to the user's computer simply by dragging and dropping from his library to the desktop. eBox is MAC/PC/Linux-compatible and installs automatically when your first resource is downloaded. This service is strictly reserved to teachers and students of a subscribed school and solely for educational activities.
Downloaded simulations and videos are coded so they can only be used for the duration of the subscription.
Smartur3D authorizes the publication of simulations or videos on educational websites (e.g. a teacher's blog or personal site, distance learning platform, digital workspace, school intranet).
For this purpose, Smartur3D provides an embeddable reader with the <embed> code to copy into your HTML pages. A Smartur3D video or simulation can then be viewed as if it were actually part of the user's website.
Restrictions: if the embedded reader is used on a non-secure site (blog, personal site, etc.), only 5 publications are authorized (videos or simulations). This service is strictly reserved to subscribed schools. It may not be used by a publisher, business or museum without the express written consent of Smartur3D.
The authorizations mentioned above are only valid for non-commercial educational activities, and are strictly limited to the staff and students of a subscribed school.
Under no circumstances may downloaded simulations be included in educational products of a commercial nature. The usage rights granted by a subscription are non-exclusive and non-transferable: only a school with a valid subscription may benefit from it.
Only the uses listed above are authorized.
